The Acorda dry powder inhaler platform delivers medication directly to the respiratory system. Commonly seen under the INBRIJA brand name, to deliver prescription Parkinson’s medication. The inhaler employs a dry powder capsule technology that releases a measured dose of medication when activated and inhaled by the user.
I participated on this project throughout my career at Radius, through a long standing relationship between the companies. Starting off as just a prototype, we worked through design improvements, prototyping, testing, tool development, verification, clinical trials, and launch.
